LETTER TO THE EDITOR: GO TO BAT FOR THE UNBORN

The following is a letter to the editor from David Morgan.

“Babies are the joy of life,” said a Philadelphia area woman.

Like an expert “umpire,” she made a good call. Infants’ silly expressions and chuckles drive their “fans” to smile! Lately though, who is really “rooting” for these “rookies” ……………when they are unborn? Expectant mothers and fathers can “step up to bat” for their unborn child in love. They can view their baby’s development, a “sprint” with an ultrasound live video. Also, they can “walk” through/scroll to “First-trimester growth and development benchmarks” on the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia website (https://www.chop.edu/conditions-diseases/first-trimester).

There they can study the “play-by-play” of events. By 4 weeks the heart is beating like the “rhythm of the music in the stands.” By 8 weeks these young ones are well formed, displaying fingers and toes, moving around like “running the bases.” And in 12 weeks they are totally formed, just like the rest of us “players” at life, but smaller, in their own “little league.” They are such lovable “stars,” with their own unique DNA like a “special name and number” on each “jersey.” They are waiting “on deck” to be born. However, many politicians, writers, and cartoonists want lots of them “locked out of the park!” Plus Planned Parenthood throws a “big curve ball” by not offering up much parenthood at all.

Checking “stats” in their latest annual report (https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/facts-figures/annual-report) 383,460 abortions were performed versus only 8,775 prenatal visits and a mere 1,940 adoption referrals. (page 27)

It is time to “take a swing” at the $633.4 million (of our hard-earned tax payments page 30) going to Planned Parenthood, and “line drive” it over to life-promoting health centers. Politicians who fund unrestricted abortion at taxpayer expense should be “thrown out when they are off base” by voters. A woman may give birth to a babe like the renowned “Babe Ruth” of baseball’s early days. The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists https://aaplog.org/ has “scouted out” the mom’s risks of abortion physically as well as emotionally, even in future pregnancies. AAPLOG also has a statement about the “team approach” to saving the lives of both mother and unborn child: Premature Delivery is Not Induced Abortion – Prolife OBGYNS – AAPLOG – American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Delivery of a baby, like “delivery of a pitch” has a better outcome than the “balk” known as abortion. Like refreshing food at the “snack stand,” there is help for women by women in pregnancy resource centers. The phrase “loving them both” is “in play”. The needs of the total person including counseling (even for abortion grief) and personal provisions can be addressed or met in “out of the park home run” wonderful ways! Many centers “coach” and help until the child is 5 years old, with no tax dollars accepted from inflationary government spending. One of the most celebrated holidays, Christmas, began with Christ’s birth; involving traveling with effort like mounting the “stadium stairs.” It was like a “rain delay,” an inconvenient time to give birth to baby Savior, yet it brought “good news for all people.” Luke 2: 10-11 in Bible. Dedicated love is needed from the start, the “singing of the national anthem” time, leading with big effort to lullabies sung. For parents the first sight, like the start of “opening day” should be Baby’s ultrasound picture, followed by a lifetime of photos with smiles among family, in places of worship, in school and maybe on the “team!”

WHO MURDERS MORE PEOPLE DAILY? NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OR PLANNED PARENTHOOD?

Photo courtesy of Pittsburgh Post Gazette

Another tragedy has happened. Many of us are saddened by the events in Uvalde, TX this week. Twenty-one precious lives were killed by a disturbed transgender individual who has had a history of mental health issues. It is sad like many mass shootings in the last three decades. Like the ones in the past, the pro-abortion show their hypocrisy when they pretend they care about human life. They use this tragedy to pretend who should’ve lived and who should’ve died. Meanwhile, the silent screams of thousands of unborn children have fallen upon their death ears. Hypocrites.

This brings up the question: Who is responsible? Does the National Rifle Association kill people?

The answer is most definitely no. NRA accounts for zero of the casualties in either a mass shooting or the homicide rates in major US cities.

Members of Let Them Live stand outside of Planned Parenthood. May 2019

Sadly, Planned Parenthood ends the lives of 2,364 babies a day. It rounds to a total of more than a million. Since the Roe v Wade decision, 63 million lives have been lost. The media has turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to this daily tragedy.

People kill people. Guns don’t kill people.

Let us speak up for life from womb to tomb and be consistent in our concerns over all acts of violence.

PRO-LIFERS, STAND FIRM. PRAY HARDER!

Like many people, I heard of the leak on the news about the possibility of Roe v Wade not making it to its 50th anniversary. (I think my sister and brother in law have a better shot at that). Even Justice Samuel Alito believes that the issue should be decided by the people, not the high court.

Since the news of the leak, pro-aborts have acted unhinged. There was a protest in Los Angeles that turned violent that law enforcement had to intervene. Even elected Karens, like Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, (I’m surprised she didn’t suffer a stroke after her agonizing rant). Wait a second, Sen. Karen of Massachusetts is angry? *Eye roll*. She is so angry that a snickers bar can’t turn her into a conservative.

Even Catholics for Choice (oxymoron name for a group) are up in arms with the leak that they are planning to protest during Catholic Masses nationwide on Mother’s Day weekend.

WHAT CAN CHRISTIANS DO

Regardless of the imminent outcome and ruling that will be casted by nine judges, pro-lifers must remain vigilant. Yes, Roe v Wade has been a controversial court decision for five decades, and there is light at the end of the tunnel for many pro-lifers to see this issue return to the states as it should have from the beginning.

The first and foremost thing to do is pray. Hold Holy Hours for an end to abortion and for the conversion of those who turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the cry of the most vulnerable of our society. Pray the rosary. Learn about the Flame of Love rosary that has been effective during several prayer vigils here.

Continue attending prayer vigils. This idea speaks for itself. The presence of pro-lifers has a powerful and profound impact on the number of people entering the facility. Your presence matters. 40 Days for Life Campaign may have came and went, but murders are still happening.

Participate in the 2022 elections. Primary season is heating up. Pennsylvania’s primary is Tuesday, May 17th. Be sure to vote with a clear conscience and in person. Visit here for all state primaries.

Speak up! This goes for laity and clergy alike. The only way hearts and minds will change in this ongoing debate to have these hard discussions. Indeed, we have seen the videos of a bunch of grown up kindergartners wanted to silence speech of people they don’t agree with. Bishops, Pastors, and Deacons, preach the message of life from the pulpits. We need more engaging homilies and sermons that pierce the hearts and minds of church-goers every given Sunday.

Laity, share the message of life on social media. Get louder on the platform if big tech tries to silence you. The truth can never be silenced or censored. The Minister of Lies can’t stop the movement that has gained momentum the last fifty years. This is our time! Let’s seize the moment!

Pray, Fast, and Give Alms!

THE CASE FOR JOE GALE AS GOVERNOR OF PENNSYLVANIA

With the primary race for PA Governor just a few mere weeks away, it is clear that there is one candidate who can cross off everything voters need to defeat Josh Shapiro and undo everything Tom Wolf has done… Joe Gale.

Against all odds, Joe Gale won a challenging and dirty race in 2015 to become Commissioner of Montgomery County after he learned of the establishment Republicans in the county had endorsed a board member of Planned Parenthood. He won by 1000 votes between him and the establishment candidate.

What sets him apart from establishment candidates like Jake Corman and Doug Mastriano is his events called “Cup of Joe”. He has held more than 1000 of these events since 2015. During these events, he connects with voters throughout Pennsylvania to discuss the issues pressing them.

In the summer of 2017, he became a voice for families of Berks County who wanted to remove Planned Parenthood and its agenda in the public school system. With his help and voice, the nine-member school board voted down Planned Parenthood by a narrow 5-4 vote.

With Joe Gale, we have a powerful voice that is needed to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Joe Gale is the complete package that is needed for Pennsylvania.

He has even fought the recent mask mandates in his county that have been waning our school children. He brings a common-sense approach to politics.

With Joe Gale, he can restore common sense, undo the Tom Wolf and RINO legacy combined, and most importantly bring more common sense to Harrisburg and the entire keystone state.

I am endorsing Joe Gale for Governor. You should too. Let’s support more candidates like him that are more action than talk.

#SAYTHEIRNAMES: Ángel, Holly, Phoenix, Harriet and Christopher

News broke last week of the discovery of five babies who were murdered by means of infanticide in our nation’s capital. Tragic.

The suspected abortionist was exposed by Live Action who admitted that he won’t help any baby that survives an abortion.

This is a tragedy. Even lawmakers, Department of Justice, and others refuse to pay attention to the injustice that is happening in Washington. They also refuse to investigate.

Is this Gosnell 2.0?

We must take action today. Students for Life is leading the way and you can participate today. Help them bring justice to the five babies left to die.

PA REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES SHARE COMMON GOALS DURING GUBERNATIONAL DEBATE IN LANGHORNE

The PA Family Institute held a gubernatorial debate among Republican candidates. Seven of the candidates were in attendance at Cairn University in Langhorne. They were Lou Barletta, Joe Gale, Charlie Gerow, Melissa Hart, Bill McSwain, Dave White, and Dr. Nche Zama. Jake Corman and Doug Mastriano were invited, but they decline due to being afraid of facing one of the candidates head-on. Their loss. Let alone the fact that they are both sellouts after helping in the passing of Act 77. Pennsylvania needs a proven man or woman of character willing to stand up to woke ideology and the progressive mob while getting the job done.

Voters in Pennsylvania got to hear firsthand what the candidates can do to address many hot-button issues facing our commonwealth and country today. Here is a breakdown of each issue pertaining to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

Abortion

As Rich Zeoli made aware, the Supreme Court may potentially send Roe v Wade back to the states. Every candidate welcomes that idea and hopes it does happen. Here is a breakdown of what each candidate says about abortion.

White: protect men and women. Gift from God especially in 33-year-old son, Brian with special needs. Abortion should not happen at any time. Pass Brian law. Fight at every moment of life.

Zama: Suicide is No.1 among children in PA thanks to COVID. Decisive. Life begins at conception when sperm and egg meet. You can’t deny biology.

Gerow: More action. Unbelievable opportunity. Fetal heartbeat and Down syndrome would be law. Sanctity of life. Take specific actions

Barletta: voted to defund PP. called out UPItt for harvesting baby parts in its medical school. Veto anti-life bill.

McSwain: Protect life when the majority wins in all state offices.

Gale: moral obligation to protect the vulnerable. The issue must be sent back to the state. Murder stops in Harrisburg when elected. Push for a strong life agenda.

Hart: sponsored Safe Haven Law and Personhood on state and federal. Compassion to protect both mother and child.

In addition to the issue of abortion, many hot-button issues surface. One, in particular, was transgenderism.

Transgender Issue

Trans

Biological males in their own gender sports

Males will not share locker with females

Gale: men play men sports. Women play women sports. Let down by the establishment.

Zama: Sperm and egg meet no return. Gender is biology. Psychological issue. Speak against transgenderism. Where are the Christians standing up to woke ideology?

Hart: only candidate to play women’s sports. she will protect women.

Gerow: Human aspect. Women are under assault. Total nonsense from woke culture. Women must be protected.

Barletta: Why should we talk about the trans issue? The world upside down since Roe v Wade. Protect women.

McSwain: It’s about protecting women and girls. 50th anniversary of Title IX. Enforce high ideals.

White: Protect women.

A notable quote from Dr. Zama: “You are still the same person you were born no matter how much you can your original biological makeup”

Religious Liberty was another issue that was brought to the debate floor. Each candidate slammed Josh Shapiro on attacking the Little Sisters of the Poor even his war with the Catholic Church. Here are some lines from the candidates.

Zama: It must be protected. Focus on greater agenda

Hart: Called out Shapiro for suing Little Sisters of the Poor. Why immigrants came to the United States, a haven for freedom. Foundation

Gerow: Founded by Penn in the commonwealth. Grills Shapiro on attacking religious groups. One Nation Under God to be free.

Barletta: Protect religious liberty.

McSwain: Vetoes bills attacking religious groups. Freedom of Religion not freedom from religion

White: Religion is under attack. Will push back once elected.

Gale: Faith-based nation. Do everything to protect this freedom. Religious exemption. Proud Catholic and will protect all faiths. Shapiro is anti-Catholic, will stand up to Shapiro.

Overall, each candidate seem promising and we enjoyed listening to what they can bring to the commonwealth when elected. Pennsylvanians, it is time to look at this race like it depends on everything.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD ESCORT RUNNING FOR STATE HOUSE; CONFLICT OF INTEREST?

If the movie, “Manchurian Candidate” could be any closer to reality, we are about to see one unfold in candidate Jonathan Lovitz. Like many running for office and getting endorsements from the largest abortion chain worldwide, Planned PArenthood is stacking their house of cards on all levels as we draw closer to the 2022 midterm cycle on all election levels. Here in Pennsylvania, it will be no different.

Lovitz, a candidate for the 182nd State District, is running in the 2022 midterm primary to most likely accept the baton from Brian Sims. By now, many have seen Sims true colors when he berated, doxxed, and harassed pro-life women who peacefully demonstrated outside of Planned Parenthood.

Now, Lovitz is a conflict of interest. The photo of him wearing the pride vest at 12th and Locust Planned Parenthood in the heart of Philadelphia really shows where he stands on the issue. Lovitz is married to NBC 10 meteorologist Steve Sousna.

Recently, Lovitz received a survey from a pro-life group. Did he complete it? He shares his opinion on Twitter below. He even recorded peaceful pro-lifers outside of the same facility he volunteers and posted it on his political Instagram account.

Indeed, Lovitz is creating conflict by helping Planned Parenthood as an escort while running a political campaign that clearly states where he stands while deceiving Democratic voters who seek a pro-life candidate to challenge the status quo of the party, and many far-left wok agendas. He must be stopped and held accountable.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE PREVIEW: PLANNED PARENTHOOD CENTER CITY

You could be one of the faithful warriors standing outside of Planned Parenthood either praying, sidewalk advocating, or just being present.

As pro-lifers gear up for another 40 Days for Life campaign, Voices4Life takes this time to preview what to expect as we prepare for the Lenten Campaign outside of Planned Parenthood in the heart of the City of Brotherly Love, filled with darkness and hatred from those who claim that “#lovewins, #noplaceforhate, and my favorite #blacklivesmatter when a majority of the abortions are perpetrated on black unborn lives. Love will win when we offer compassion, love, and mercy to women in their hour of great need. Pro-lifers in the greater Philadelphia area are encouraged to make a Lenten sacrifice by giving the pro-life movement an hour or more of their time to save lives. The Lenten campaign runs from Wednesday, March 2nd, and ends on April 9th.

The 40 Days for Life Campaign will be present outside of Planned Parenthood in Center City Philadelphia for the 16th time.

During the previous campaigns, there has been much growth, many saves, and even many encounters. The main reason is because of faithful warriors stepping into the breach, whether old, young, retired, young professional, or even a student in the pursuit of knowledge gave an hour or more to help turn the tide of the abortion battle on the streets with prayer, fasting, and alms.

You too can make a difference. You are encouraged to take an hour or so during this Lenten campaign. Bring a friend or two with you.

Visit 40daysforlife.com/philadelphia to pick your hours now.

The hours of operation are Mondays through Saturdays from 8AM to 5PM

Pennsylvania Action Alert! Please Contact Your State Lawmakers

In my opinion, Planned Parenthood is the most immoral, corrupt organization across our nation and throughout the world.  As you can see by the post below, they are gearing up to bully our legislators over existing pro-life laws.  Please take a few moments to send your own message to your state legislators.  We need to make as many calls  (and even more then this killing machine) to make sure that our pro-life laws are not compromised. You can also use the link provided below to send your message.

Stop PP

from Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion operation, plans a flood of phone calls to state lawmakers attacking pro-life legislation.

That is why it is more important than ever for you to contact your PA state Representative and state Senator and let them know you oppose taxpayer funding of abortion and a so-called right to abortion under the PA Constitution.

You can contact your lawmakers now by clicking here

Even if you have contacted your state lawmakers before, please do so again. Also, please share this alert on social media and with any pro-life lists.

Thank you for your help!
