PRO-LIFERS TAKE PART IN ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S DAY IN PHILADELPHIA

40 Pro-lifers took part in the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 12th.

The weather was perfect with spring-like temperatures. Those who marched wore green scarves. This has been an annual tradition going back to the leadership of the late John Stanton.

Even many of the attendees cheered on pro-lifers along Market Street.

It was a day to honor a great saint who emphasized the trinity with the shamrock and ensured the pro-life message was spread to the thousands who were in attendance

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? GOOD

The following is from Dr. Monique Ruberu. Hours are still needed to be filled. Visit 40daysforlife.com.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

[We have] such an awesome story to share…at 777 the pro-abortion escorts often play music to drown us out as we try to speak to the moms going in. That music is often demonic, or crude…rarely tolerable and nice… So by the grace of God working through a donor, we purchased a nice speaker and mic so we could share Christian music and speak to the moms over their noise.

I knew the moms on the sidewalk could hear us, but Marlene, Pat, and I prayed that the moms could hear us inside as well… well today the officer told us that Lynn (elderly pro-abortion escort) was complaining about the loudness of our music => the officer pointed out that the only reason we have music playing is that they started playing music and he had observed the interaction for the past few months… then she said – “Yes but their music is disturbing them INSIDE”

SO PRAISE GOD!!! The moms can HEAR US INSIDE!!! – I told the officer I’d be happy to stop our music if they do t play music… I’ll just use it to talk on my mic – directly to the women inside 🙂

Guys when we show up to do this work for God it is very important that we first feed our souls in preparation for this work… please do spend time daily in mass, in prayer, in scripture, in meditation on Jesus, in adoration… in the Word of God especially …the closer you allow yourself to get to Him… the more you allow Him to fill you…the better your work will be.

BIASED ABORTION COVERAGE

The following is a Letter to the Editor written by Mike McGonagle

While we appreciate the occasional commentaries with a pro-life viewpoint, we express our strong objection to the consistently biased – and sometimes outright false – Inquirer news coverage of the “abortion issue.”

The principal difference in the “pro-life”/”pro-choice” debate is recognizing the scientific reality and alleged rights of the child in the womb. The Inquirer news coverage continues to ignore this reality by refusing to publish photos of children killed by abortion – or even photos of children in the womb. An excellent example remains the iconic photo of Samuel Armas’ “Hand of Hope”
extending from his mother’s womb during surgery at 21 weeks gestation.

We, in the pro-life movement, welcome the routine scrutiny that the Inquirer provides to a proposed law or a candidate regarding “exceptions,” such as unborn children with disabilities or whose lives began as a result of their father’s violent crime. However, your reporters fail to report on the lives of “hard cases,” such as Kathy Barnette, the former 2022 Republican candidate
for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania who was conceived in rape when her mom was 11. Equally biased, the Inquirer fails to provide hard case scrutiny of the extent of “pro-choice” laws or candidates, such as support for abortion in the ninth month of pregnancy, as John Fetterman has expressed in a recent CNN interview.

Another example is the Inquirer’s one-sided – and sometimes outright false – “medical reports” on how providing legal protection to children in the womb – or the availability of Catholic health care – will increase the risk of expectant mothers dying from the lack of treatment for miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

Finally, the Inquirer describes abortion as “health care.” This description means that the child in the womb is a disease or a tumor, rather than a living human being with a right to life.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: GO TO BAT FOR THE UNBORN

The following is a letter to the editor from David Morgan.

“Babies are the joy of life,” said a Philadelphia area woman.

Like an expert “umpire,” she made a good call. Infants’ silly expressions and chuckles drive their “fans” to smile! Lately though, who is really “rooting” for these “rookies” ……………when they are unborn? Expectant mothers and fathers can “step up to bat” for their unborn child in love. They can view their baby’s development, a “sprint” with an ultrasound live video. Also, they can “walk” through/scroll to “First-trimester growth and development benchmarks” on the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia website (https://www.chop.edu/conditions-diseases/first-trimester).

There they can study the “play-by-play” of events. By 4 weeks the heart is beating like the “rhythm of the music in the stands.” By 8 weeks these young ones are well formed, displaying fingers and toes, moving around like “running the bases.” And in 12 weeks they are totally formed, just like the rest of us “players” at life, but smaller, in their own “little league.” They are such lovable “stars,” with their own unique DNA like a “special name and number” on each “jersey.” They are waiting “on deck” to be born. However, many politicians, writers, and cartoonists want lots of them “locked out of the park!” Plus Planned Parenthood throws a “big curve ball” by not offering up much parenthood at all.

Checking “stats” in their latest annual report (https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/facts-figures/annual-report) 383,460 abortions were performed versus only 8,775 prenatal visits and a mere 1,940 adoption referrals. (page 27)

It is time to “take a swing” at the $633.4 million (of our hard-earned tax payments page 30) going to Planned Parenthood, and “line drive” it over to life-promoting health centers. Politicians who fund unrestricted abortion at taxpayer expense should be “thrown out when they are off base” by voters. A woman may give birth to a babe like the renowned “Babe Ruth” of baseball’s early days. The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists https://aaplog.org/ has “scouted out” the mom’s risks of abortion physically as well as emotionally, even in future pregnancies. AAPLOG also has a statement about the “team approach” to saving the lives of both mother and unborn child: Premature Delivery is Not Induced Abortion – Prolife OBGYNS – AAPLOG – American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians & Gynecologists. Delivery of a baby, like “delivery of a pitch” has a better outcome than the “balk” known as abortion. Like refreshing food at the “snack stand,” there is help for women by women in pregnancy resource centers. The phrase “loving them both” is “in play”. The needs of the total person including counseling (even for abortion grief) and personal provisions can be addressed or met in “out of the park home run” wonderful ways! Many centers “coach” and help until the child is 5 years old, with no tax dollars accepted from inflationary government spending. One of the most celebrated holidays, Christmas, began with Christ’s birth; involving traveling with effort like mounting the “stadium stairs.” It was like a “rain delay,” an inconvenient time to give birth to baby Savior, yet it brought “good news for all people.” Luke 2: 10-11 in Bible. Dedicated love is needed from the start, the “singing of the national anthem” time, leading with big effort to lullabies sung. For parents the first sight, like the start of “opening day” should be Baby’s ultrasound picture, followed by a lifetime of photos with smiles among family, in places of worship, in school and maybe on the “team!”

2022 Mid-Term Elections: What Is At Stake?

With two weeks until the midterm elections, we may be wondering what is really at stake. After seeing countless fear ads circulating while watching our shows, sporting events, and even the news, there is much at stake. Despite the ever-changing polls (which many are rigged or inaccurate), concerned citizens that are eligible to vote with a clear conscience can change the tide and stop Biden’s agenda from complete fruition.

2022 has proved to all of us that three things will hang in the balance on November 8th… Life, liberty, and family. Sadly, all three of them have been attacked.

When it comes to life, the first inalienable right for any born and unborn US citizen, it has taken a beaten. Despite the Dobbs v Jackson decision in June to send the abortion debate back to the states, pro-aborts launched their antagonizing summer of rage which saw hundreds of churches and pregnancy resource centers vandalized, fire-bombed, and disrupted.

There were even pro-lifers attacked while canvassing in many battleground states. Philly pro-lifers endured some of this like finding dog feces on the sidewalk outside of Philadelphia Women’s Center (Heather did it). Most recently happened prior to the rally and march led by Rev. Childress.

This is coming from the same people who preach “Love trumps hate”, “Hate has no place here”, and my personal favorite about immigrants being welcomed here except at Martha’s Vineyard (Now Karen’s vineyard) thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida.

Pro-lifers are not only being attacked by pro-aborts but they are being intimidated by our out-of-control government. Case in point, the FBI. If the events that have happened in the last month to pro-lifers in Tennessee, Minnesota, and in Pennsylvania do not wake up to how President Biden and his allies in the federal government are drunk on power, then what will? We will overcome these scare tactics.

Liberty is constantly attacked by left-wing politicians and their friends in the abortion industry. Thanks to poor catechism, Catholics who support abortion have gotten what they deserved. It all can change thankfully. Parents are speaking out against the gay and transgender agenda happening in public education. No question that it can be a factor in how people vote. Christians have been bombarded by attacks from progressives with woke ideologies, yet many are standing their ground. Disney, since its agenda was exposed earlier this year, has seen a drop in tourism and also lost its tax break (Get Woke! Go Broke).

The family is seeing the evil one attacking them like never before. Even the shepherd children who witnessed the apparitions of Fatima were told that the final battle will be fought over the family. We’re seeing it unfold before our eyes. The LGBTQ movement is stopping at nothing to disrupt traditional families while grooming minor children through drag queen shows, explicit entertainment, and other forms of perversions. This is another front that must be confronted.

With a mere fourteen days left, we all must rally to take back our God-given rights. Should Biden get his way, those freedoms God has given to us will be a generation away from extinction.

This is the fight for our lives. Are we ready to stand our ground or retreat in the midst of adverse fire from the enemy?

On November 8th vote in person for life, liberty, and family. Let us take back our freedoms in the Post-Roe society.

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE ANNOUNCES THEME

The first National March for Life in a Post-Roe society will take place on Friday, January 20th, 2023 in Washington, DC.

During a live press conference, the organization announced the theme and have two speakers in the lineup for the event. The theme is Next Steps: Marching Forward in A Post-Roe Society. It comes as we navigate the aftermath of the Dobbs v Jackson decision last June, which sent the abortion issue back to the states with nearly half of them banning abortion.

“There’s a lot of confusion about the inherent dignity of the unborn child,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life Foundation. Mancini shared that the route will now be different unlike marches past. Instead of the route to the steps of the Supreme Court, it will end on the steps of the capitol building that houses the House of Representatives and Senators.

“Your testimony marching in Washington, D.C., shutting down this city every year for the largest annual human rights demonstration worldwide has borne fruit,” she said. “It’s absolutely borne fruit in the overturn of Roe.”

In addition to announcing its theme and the new march route, a band and two speakers have been confirmed for the rally on the National Mall. The speakers (so far) are Jonathan Roumie, the star of The Chosen series, and former NFL Head Coach and analyst Tony Dungy. We The Messengers will provide music during interfaith praise and worship with an 11:30 AM start.

Now is the time to begin planning to attend this annual event. It is a great way for pro-lifers to converge and renew their commitment to building a Culture of Life from womb to tomb.

Are you ready to march forward in the post-Roe society?

OCTOBER TO DO LIST

Happy October.

Fall is in full swing. The air is getting cooler and crisp. Many will break out the sweaters, hoodies, and enjoying fall activities.

FALL 2022 40 DAYS PREVIEW: PWC

6500. That’s the total number of abortions committed at Philadelphia Women’s Center, located in the Chinatown section and just a 1/4 of a mile from Independence Hall.

The facility has been in operation for 50 years. Ironically, it sits five floors above a daycare in an eight-story building.

Pro-lifers overcame jeers from Heather and her friends that work at the facility, dog feces on the sidewalk where they pray, and intimidation of other sorts, yet those who have been out there continued to persevere.

The vigil hours are Tuesday to Friday from 7AM-4PM. Saturdays from 6AM to 3PM.

Do pray for the following workers and volunteers of the facility to have a conversion: Amanda Kifferly, Heather Loesch (Security Guard), Lisa Perriera, Edith Miller, Anna Smith, Bruce Love, Colin McCrossen, Chris Hill, and Lynne Molter

Persecution and Praise Report

Dr. Monique Ruberu offers a reflection from this past weekend outside of both abortion facilities in Philadelphia.

This past Saturday once again we showed up and prayed outside of 777 and 12th. At 777 we covered the street and sidewalks with exorcised salt and anointed all the prayer warriors with exorcised oil…

Heather as usual showed up with her sage but we continued praying for them all.

I heard from another prayer warrior who said the following :

“A year ago, I stole an idea from a woman who participated with us Helpers a few times a few years ago.  I bring Holy Water with me and bless the space right in front of the gate at 12th/Locust: three Crosses for Father/Son/Holy Spirit.  The first time that I did it at 777 was this past Spring.  We’d gotten an early dismissal from work, so I went over there to pray.  The guard saw that and came out and smudged the entire area.  The same thing happened again this summer and I blessed the area again.  And the guard came out again.  Or rather, she PLANNED to do so.  I watched through the window as she tried .. and tried .. and tried .. and tried .. and tried to light the sage bundle ..  but it WOULDN’T take, it just wouldn’t stay lit.  Holy Water – 1; Sage Bundle – 0.” Thanks R!!!

At 12th there was a pro choice protest outside the Community Women’s Center. Our faithful prayer warriors continued the vigil outside of 12th and locust while they were there… these protests will come and go… even though they block the doors and act the fool the police may not even step in but God sees everything and He alone will make a way for us. We continue our work because we work for Him.
