CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? GOOD

The following is from Dr. Monique Ruberu. Hours are still needed to be filled. Visit 40daysforlife.com.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

[We have] such an awesome story to share…at 777 the pro-abortion escorts often play music to drown us out as we try to speak to the moms going in. That music is often demonic, or crude…rarely tolerable and nice… So by the grace of God working through a donor, we purchased a nice speaker and mic so we could share Christian music and speak to the moms over their noise.

I knew the moms on the sidewalk could hear us, but Marlene, Pat, and I prayed that the moms could hear us inside as well… well today the officer told us that Lynn (elderly pro-abortion escort) was complaining about the loudness of our music => the officer pointed out that the only reason we have music playing is that they started playing music and he had observed the interaction for the past few months… then she said – “Yes but their music is disturbing them INSIDE”

SO PRAISE GOD!!! The moms can HEAR US INSIDE!!! – I told the officer I’d be happy to stop our music if they do t play music… I’ll just use it to talk on my mic – directly to the women inside 🙂

Guys when we show up to do this work for God it is very important that we first feed our souls in preparation for this work… please do spend time daily in mass, in prayer, in scripture, in meditation on Jesus, in adoration… in the Word of God especially …the closer you allow yourself to get to Him… the more you allow Him to fill you…the better your work will be.

PA Abortions Increase, Pro-Life Efforts Increase

THE FOLLOWING IS A RELEASE SENT BY EMAIL FROM TOM STEVENS, PRESIDENT OF THE PRO-LIFE UNION OF GREATER PHILADELPHIA

In 2021 there were 3% more abortions in Pennsylvania than in the previous year. The total, 33,206, is the highest number of abortions reported in the past ten years. Half, 16,542, of those abortions occur right in our backyard, the five-county Philadelphia area.

To help understand the sheer magnitude, imagine 16,542 moms or dads pushing a baby in a stroller in a single file. It would be a line that stretches nearly sixteen miles! Imagine one of them being your grandchild or child, nephew or niece.

This is why the Pro-Life Union believes that we can’t protect the right to life as a single organization. Instead, we need to support our associate member organizations, work with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and independent churches, and anyone who will join us in the effort. Pregnancy resource centers like Hope Pregnancy and AlphaCare are part of the solution.

The Pro-Life Union and Catholic Social Services partnership at the Cenacle in Frankford serving more than one thousand vulnerable families is part of the answer. Adoption is a Loving Option, Culture Project, Students for Life, and other groups reaching out to students are a significant part of the effort. Forty Days for Life, Sidewalk Servants, and others organizing volunteers to serve in front of abortion centers are rescuing babies (and women) in another way.

Chester County Pro-Life Coalition and their March for Life and sponsorship of the name? ‘TOB for young women’ is another part of the prevention. You can meet many of these resource providers on April 1st at the Life Advocate Resource Conference. Many churches working together to provide solutions will also be present.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

Make 2023 a life-saving year

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE ANNOUNCES THEME

The first National March for Life in a Post-Roe society will take place on Friday, January 20th, 2023 in Washington, DC.

During a live press conference, the organization announced the theme and have two speakers in the lineup for the event. The theme is Next Steps: Marching Forward in A Post-Roe Society. It comes as we navigate the aftermath of the Dobbs v Jackson decision last June, which sent the abortion issue back to the states with nearly half of them banning abortion.

“There’s a lot of confusion about the inherent dignity of the unborn child,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life Foundation. Mancini shared that the route will now be different unlike marches past. Instead of the route to the steps of the Supreme Court, it will end on the steps of the capitol building that houses the House of Representatives and Senators.

“Your testimony marching in Washington, D.C., shutting down this city every year for the largest annual human rights demonstration worldwide has borne fruit,” she said. “It’s absolutely borne fruit in the overturn of Roe.”

In addition to announcing its theme and the new march route, a band and two speakers have been confirmed for the rally on the National Mall. The speakers (so far) are Jonathan Roumie, the star of The Chosen series, and former NFL Head Coach and analyst Tony Dungy. We The Messengers will provide music during interfaith praise and worship with an 11:30 AM start.

Now is the time to begin planning to attend this annual event. It is a great way for pro-lifers to converge and renew their commitment to building a Culture of Life from womb to tomb.

Are you ready to march forward in the post-Roe society?

OCTOBER TO DO LIST

Happy October.

Fall is in full swing. The air is getting cooler and crisp. Many will break out the sweaters, hoodies, and enjoying fall activities.

There’s much to happen in the pro-life community as the mid-terms are lurking, fundraisers, and even 40 Days for Life campaigns.

Here’s a list for things to do

  1. Take part in 40 Days for Life campaign
  2. Take part in Student for Life of America deployments
  3. Attend a fundraiser near you
  4. Sponsor a Holy Hour for life at your parish
  5. Take part in homeless outreach
  6. Donate maternity items to pregnancy resource center
  7. Host a rosary rally
  8. Educate everyone on the issue of abortion and debunk myths surrounding the recent Dobbs decision.
  9. Volunteer for your local coalition
  10. Write op-eds to local papers
  11. Learn how to peacefully and lovingly sidewalk counsel outside of an abortion facility
  12. Encourage voters to show up at the polls on November 8th. Mail in balloting is a scam and fraud.

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE WILL CONTINUE

While the Dobbs Decision in June reversed the 1973 Roe v Wade decision, the organizers of the annual March for Life in DC will continue to have its annual event in January.

A culture of life must continue to be built everywhere.

Mark your calendars for the 49th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 20th.

Information on the event will become available when more information is released.

Persecution and Praise Report

Dr. Monique Ruberu offers a reflection from this past weekend outside of both abortion facilities in Philadelphia.

This past Saturday once again we showed up and prayed outside of 777 and 12th. At 777 we covered the street and sidewalks with exorcised salt and anointed all the prayer warriors with exorcised oil…

Heather as usual showed up with her sage but we continued praying for them all.

I heard from another prayer warrior who said the following :

“A year ago, I stole an idea from a woman who participated with us Helpers a few times a few years ago.  I bring Holy Water with me and bless the space right in front of the gate at 12th/Locust: three Crosses for Father/Son/Holy Spirit.  The first time that I did it at 777 was this past Spring.  We’d gotten an early dismissal from work, so I went over there to pray.  The guard saw that and came out and smudged the entire area.  The same thing happened again this summer and I blessed the area again.  And the guard came out again.  Or rather, she PLANNED to do so.  I watched through the window as she tried .. and tried .. and tried .. and tried .. and tried to light the sage bundle ..  but it WOULDN’T take, it just wouldn’t stay lit.  Holy Water – 1; Sage Bundle – 0.” Thanks R!!!

At 12th there was a pro choice protest outside the Community Women’s Center. Our faithful prayer warriors continued the vigil outside of 12th and locust while they were there… these protests will come and go… even though they block the doors and act the fool the police may not even step in but God sees everything and He alone will make a way for us. We continue our work because we work for Him.

STUDENT TESTIMONIES FROM CANVASSING FOR VALUE THEM BOTH AMENDMENT

While the amendment failed to get the yes majority from Kansasans, many of those who went door to door to encourage people to vote had some takes on their firsthand accounts on voters being informed on the pro-life amendment. Here are two of those who were stepped into the breach.

Dana Stancavage, Students for Life Action Press Specialist and Online Editor: “We fought hard in Kansas against the disinformation being spread on Value Them Both, but our work is far from over. While we fully supported this amendment to pave the way for pro-life laws to be taken up by the legislature, we reflect on the many years it took for Roe to fall and know more work lies ahead for the Pro-Life Generation who have the grit and passion to defend preborn lives.”

Gabby Lara, Students for Life Action KS Value Them Both Field Coordinator: “Despite the disappointing results, the dedication of our students all summer shows us that the pro-life generation is always ready to take action against abortion. We are ready to change culture in America by continuing to talk to our generation about this issue, one of the biggest injustices of our time. I couldn’t have been prouder to work with the Pro-Life Generation every single day.”

PRO-LIFE AMENDMENT FAILS IN KANSAS

Despite the hard work of canvassers through Students for Life Action, the pro-life amendment has failed to get enough yes votes with 58% voting again the life-saving amendment during yesterday’s state primary.

The pro-life amendment would have added language to the Kansas Constitution stating that there is no right to an abortion or taxpayer-funded abortion. Although it would not ban the killing of unborn babies in abortions, it would allow the voter-elected state legislature to do so.

“Without this amendment, even barbaric late-term abortions will be allowed,” said Harrison Butker, kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, in an ad supporting the amendment. “This amendment will let Kansans decide what we do on abortions, not judges and not D.C. politicians.”

It is a sad day that a so-called “Conservative State” in the middle of the heartland of the United States chose death over life.

Pro-lifers all across the board must double their efforts to ensure life is protected from womb to tomb.
