Wanna Break Cabin Fever? Take a Leap of Faith and Pray Outside of Abortion Facilities

The headliner might be a bit misleading. However, two brave men decided to continue praying outside of abortion facilities in the Philadelphia area, despite the stay at home order from elected officials.

The suggestion does come with some parameters.

  1. Do not come within two feet of patients entering the facility or escorts (if any decide to be out there)
  2. Be sure to be courteous and respectful to police and people coming and going on the sidewalk
  3. Be peaceful
  4. Bring love
  5. Stay safe and well
  6. Treat this like 40 Days for Life is still going on.
  7. Pray in small groups of less than ten
  8. If you are ill, pray from home

Remember, God has appeared to many people to do his will. You should do his, not the will of man.

“Never underestimate the spirit of God working through you, with you, and despite you.” Archbishop Nelson Perez

Recap on Stand Against Bullying Rally

The hard work of many pro-lifers, such as Lila Rose, has paid off. After hearing about the videos of a so-called “State Rep.” Brian Sims harassing pro-life women was met by a thousand loving pro-lifers. Not only local pro-lifers came together but some went the extra mile (the furthest being Fort Wayne, IN. as of now).

The rally was organized by Lila Rose and her organization Live Action. Her group has helped expose Planned Parenthood from falsely advertising mammograms to the trafficking of fetal parts and everything in between.

Rose noted in her opening remarks that the event had been organized “for a much bigger reason … (to) stand for the dignity of human life,” this point was reiterated by other speakers who followed her during the rally.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Caller called for a rally in a series of tweets on Twitter. He even condemned the actions of Brian Sims.

Ashley Graechet

Ashley Garecht, the mother of the two teenage girls dox by Sims, used her time to commend pro-lifers who have done extraordinary work, despite backlash from people who disagree with them. She even knew that God wanted her to be an instrument in being present as a sidewalk advocate. She also observed that the demonstration took place just blocks from the one-time home of James Madison, a primary author of the U.S. Constitution, which enshrines “a self-evident, inalienable right to life,” she said. She also called out Rep. Sims for his lack of an apology.

In the videos, Sims claimed that pro-lifers are racists. Well, he hasn’t met Richara Krajewski, member of the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia. She used her time to acknowledge the fact that she is “a pro-life black woman”.

The real racism, as she points out is, “co-opting the language of liberation to advocate for the destruction of the lives of the most vulnerable. Real racism is a so-called white ally telling black and brown women that they need to choose between their dreams and their babies.”

Toni McFadden was another black pro-lifer at hand who shared about her abortion experience. Foundress of Relationship Matters, an organization that helps heal and honor our relationships, spoke about how it is important to develop them “so that no more babies need to die because of convenience.”

The main highlight of the rally is Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Director in Bryan, TX, now a pro-life advocate. she wrote a memoir about her #WalkAway from the abortion industry. It is now a movie.  Johnson opened her remarks when she saw the escorts acknowledging the fact that she was once them.

She pointed out some staggering facts about the Planned Parenthood (See related post here: Planned Parenthood Facility in Center City, Defended by Re. Brian Sims, Has Failed Thirteen State Inspections) has “covering up statutory rape of minors, not sterilizing instruments that are being used woman to woman” and repeatedly failing health inspections.

“Turn your prayer into action. The fight against abortion will be won on the streets, not the halls of Congress or state houses” Johnson proclaimed.

60027514_1273375746172112_5567767638555230208_n

The rally itself shows that the pro-life community is bigger, stronger, younger, and diverse. It cares about women. It is eager to help women in their time of crisis. Many moms, including Candace with her son, was able to choose life because of the love and support of the pro-life community at large.

The pro-life movement is pushing back harder. The tide has changed. We must be willing to stand taller and be bolder everywhere we go.  We must not be afraid of anti-life bullying from public servants or average people that will verbally taunt us when we peacefully assemble outside abortion facilities, like Planned Parenthood.

The sleeping giant has awakened. It’s time to rose up and fight for life from womb to tomb.

Parents of teen girls harassed by Brian Sims raise over $100G for Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia

The following is a Fox New article by Caleb Parke. The article shares about the parents of the teens harassed by State Rep. Brian Sims fundraising response to the recent hatred spilled by him. It is republished with his permission.

The parents of teen girls harassed on camera by Pennsylvania state representatives Brian Sims raised over $100,000 for a pro-life non-profit in Philadelphia, where the Democratic official has targeted peaceful pro-lifers praying outside Planned Parenthood.

Joe and Ashley Garecht started a GoFundMe page after they realized the man who offered $100 to dox their teen daughters – 13 and 15 – on Periscope was actually an elected official, an action they called “shameful and unacceptable.”

INCREASING CALLS FOR BRIAN SIMS TO ‘IMMEDIATELY RESIGN’ FOR HARASSING PRO-LIFERS

The Garechts told Fox News they are so grateful after they launched the fundraising effort as a way to turn an ugly situation into something positive.

“It means the world to us that people have rallied around our family during this difficult time,” Mr. Garecht said. “The prayers and words of encouragement have been amazing and have sustained our entire family.”

They met their goal to help the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia Thursday, ahead of Friday’s pro-life rally by Abby Johnson and 40 Days for Life, among other pro-life leaders who plan to meet in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic where Sims attacked pro-lifers.

We are beyond blessed to see people motivated to help the pro-life movement in the Greater Philadelphia region,” Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia’s president and CEO, Tom Stevens, told Fox News. “In 2018, there were 15,821 abortions performed at abortion centers in the Greater Philadelphia area alone. While our hearts are broken for the unborn and for their moms and dads, we are also filled with hope by this great outpouring of support for life.”

On the GoFundMe, Garecht challenged Sims: “Brian, if you have a problem with my wife and daughters praying outside of an abortion clinic, I’m the one you can talk to… instead of harassing teenage girls.”

Sims said “I can do better” Tuesday night in a video posted online, but he stopped short of apologizing for his actions. Planned Parenthood said it did “not condone…Sims’ approach” but called him a “champion” on pro-choice issues.

Open Season on Philly Pro-Lifers; Representative Brian Sims Leads Charge

It appears that pro-lifers are being harassed taunted, and even physically attacked by people who disagree with them.

We have seen nationwide that pro-lifers were physically assaulted or verbally taunted by either workers or in the case that has happened in Center City Philadelphia a State Representative who picks out of Planned Parenthood’s pocket to promote the culture of death. In return, he leads a push back pro-lifers campaign.

Here’s the following statement from Dr. Monique Ruberu:

Every year in Philadelphia 10,000 babies lives are ended by abortion. The babies are killed, the mothers are wounded, and our society loses valuable people who should be here.

I see women every day as a gynecologist who regret this choice and say that if ANYONE was willing to step up and fill the void they felt when they made the decision to abort they would have changed their mind. They chose not because they wanted to abort but because they were afraid, alone, they had no money, no place to stay, no community… many were coerced into the decision… and they live with the pain for a lifetime.

So in response, we have loving, kind, peaceful, prayerful sidewalk servants trying to cover every hour that these places are open. We stand there… pray for the women, children, workers, and escorts… we offer help, hope, resources so that the men and women know that someone wants to help them. In the blessing bags we give a card that tells the woman she is strong, beautiful and awesome and we want to walk with her, we offer free pregnancy tests and ultrasound, we give a pamphlet that has info on the pregnancy centers, abortion pill reversal, post-abortion healing, etc, etc… we don’t yell, scream, degrade or belittle… but we are persecuted.

This poor woman who wanted to do nothing but stand, pray and hand out blessing bags was verbally assaulted and badgered by a state rep. This man should not be representing anyone as he is obviously only capable of defending those that go along with his beliefs.

Please join us and pray for the conversion of Brian Sims – bully

Giving God permission

On Thursday, March 14th, 2019, I answered Monique’s call to fill a last-minute vacant hour outside of Planned Parenthood. That one hour turned into two. As I was going through the daily readings for that day, I realized that the Gospel of Matthew really spoke to me in a profound way. Here’s the full story from Dr. Ruberu, the coordinator of the 40 Days for Life campaign in Center City Philadelphia, who started the first campaign in the fall of 2014.

I began talking to a young man about my age who was waiting for his girlfriend who had an appointment. I opened his eyes on what was happening inside of Planned Parenthood and he was blown away.

Another gentleman saw my our Lady of Guadalupe rosary that my best friend gave me when we were in DC a couple of summers ago. I encouraged him to keep praying for the end of abortion.

My 10 AM had no escorts outside so I had no problem planting seeds by handing out our blessing bags to the women entering the facility.

For the first time, I had people walk past and commend me for being present.

I was later joined by Elaine Coyne. She had a calm and sweet approach to the women and workers coming in and out of PP.

I remember reviewing today’s gospel and it talks about asking and receiving. It turns out someone asked for a blessing bag and she received one. I never realized how rewarding it is to stand and let those who enter know that there is a better option than abortion.

I also recall hearing the story of how St. Teresa said to a newly ordained cardinal. She said to him these three simple words: “Give God Permission”. I felt like I just emptied myself that day and let God just take control of what I was doing by showering his love to everyone.

– so happy Mickey was there to fill one of our last minute hours…as did Joe Paganelli, Elaine Coyne, and Paula Terreri!!! Thank you all so much!

A Praise Report

A few weeks ago, Mary Jo was at 777 providing prayer, love, and resources to all those entering the building and passing by.  A woman came up to her and wanted to give her a “Praise Report”. Mary Jo said, “What?” and the woman repeated, “A Praise Report”

The woman then went on to say that her granddaughter became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion because she couldn’t handle it…

She told her granddaughter that “WE don’t do that…” but the granddaughter still wanted to go ahead with the procedure.

She came with her granddaughter and they went upstairs. The granddaughter watched the film and changed her mind. She decided she didn’t want to do it after all.

She said that day there were a lot of ladies out there praying, and they all prayed together.   The Grandmother then went on to say, “I just want you to know that your being here makes a difference, and whenever I’m in town and I see someone here I come over and tell them.”

She also said that the granddaughter is doing fine, she is very excited about the little baby girl who is due in May.

This occurred 3 weeks before our current vigil started during the sidewalk servants outreach that occurs between the 40 days.

Please remember the wise and beautiful words of this Grandmother. Our presence does matter. Our prayers do make a difference, and most of all our LOVE can change hearts and minds.

Please help us continue to save lives by covering these hours

Rain Could Never Damper Pro-Life Spirit

Fifty pro-lifers took part in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The morning starting with many losing an hour of sleep the night before, yet they offered it up for the conversion of souls, especially those involved with the culture of death. It also was pouring rain. Some had Sunday commitments at their parishes that caused them to run late. However, everything came to together by the grace of God.

The meetup was outside of Suburban Station on 16th and JFK. The group, as in the year’s past, were in the early group that would march first in the parade. Some handed out prayer cards for the end of abortion, which includes a spiritual adoption made possible by Archbishop Fulton J Sheen. It reads: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”

The spiritual adoption prayer is encouraged to be prayed every day for nine months straight.

Along the parade route, Pat Stanton’s brother Dennis provided a personal PA system that blasted well known Irish songs while parade goers would cheer on the small contingent as they were in the parade to plant the seeds for potential conversion and to make their voices heard. No question that our voices were heard.
