The hard work of many pro-lifers, such as Lila Rose, has paid off. After hearing about the videos of a so-called “State Rep.” Brian Sims harassing pro-life women was met by a thousand loving pro-lifers. Not only local pro-lifers came together but some went the extra mile (the furthest being Fort Wayne, IN. as of now).

The rally was organized by Lila Rose and her organization Live Action. Her group has helped expose Planned Parenthood from falsely advertising mammograms to the trafficking of fetal parts and everything in between.
Rose noted in her opening remarks that the event had been organized “for a much bigger reason … (to) stand for the dignity of human life,” this point was reiterated by other speakers who followed her during the rally.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Caller called for a rally in a series of tweets on Twitter. He even condemned the actions of Brian Sims.

Ashley Garecht, the mother of the two teenage girls dox by Sims, used her time to commend pro-lifers who have done extraordinary work, despite backlash from people who disagree with them. She even knew that God wanted her to be an instrument in being present as a sidewalk advocate. She also observed that the demonstration took place just blocks from the one-time home of James Madison, a primary author of the U.S. Constitution, which enshrines “a self-evident, inalienable right to life,” she said. She also called out Rep. Sims for his lack of an apology.

In the videos, Sims claimed that pro-lifers are racists. Well, he hasn’t met Richara Krajewski, member of the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia. She used her time to acknowledge the fact that she is “a pro-life black woman”.
The real racism, as she points out is, “co-opting the language of liberation to advocate for the destruction of the lives of the most vulnerable. Real racism is a so-called white ally telling black and brown women that they need to choose between their dreams and their babies.”
Toni McFadden was another black pro-lifer at hand who shared about her abortion experience. Foundress of Relationship Matters, an organization that helps heal and honor our relationships, spoke about how it is important to develop them “so that no more babies need to die because of convenience.”

The main highlight of the rally is Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Director in Bryan, TX, now a pro-life advocate. she wrote a memoir about her #WalkAway from the abortion industry. It is now a movie. Johnson opened her remarks when she saw the escorts acknowledging the fact that she was once them.
She pointed out some staggering facts about the Planned Parenthood (See related post here: Planned Parenthood Facility in Center City, Defended by Re. Brian Sims, Has Failed Thirteen State Inspections) has “covering up statutory rape of minors, not sterilizing instruments that are being used woman to woman” and repeatedly failing health inspections.
“Turn your prayer into action. The fight against abortion will be won on the streets, not the halls of Congress or state houses” Johnson proclaimed.

The rally itself shows that the pro-life community is bigger, stronger, younger, and diverse. It cares about women. It is eager to help women in their time of crisis. Many moms, including Candace with her son, was able to choose life because of the love and support of the pro-life community at large.
The pro-life movement is pushing back harder. The tide has changed. We must be willing to stand taller and be bolder everywhere we go. We must not be afraid of anti-life bullying from public servants or average people that will verbally taunt us when we peacefully assemble outside abortion facilities, like Planned Parenthood.
The sleeping giant has awakened. It’s time to rose up and fight for life from womb to tomb.
