PA STATE REP SPONSORS TRANS BILL

The following is from an email sent out by PA Family Council regarding HB 300 which is currently in the PA state house.

If you haven’t heard about the threat to religious freedom and rights of conscience in the bill being fast-tracked by PA House Democratic leadership, please read this full post. While some claim it’s a simple bill, the reality is a host of negative consequences.

Here are just three of those consequences, as said by co-sponsors of the legislation.

  1. HB300 could require certain medical professionals to prescribe puberty blockers or perform “sex-reassignment” surgeries, or face penalties for “discrimination.”
  2. HB 300 would force women’s shelters to accept biological males who identify as women.
  3. HB300 would “redefine freedom” by punishing people for not using someone’s preferred pronouns.

Sadly, these are not the only harms HB300 would cause. Laws like this proposed bill have removed a significant number of freedoms in other states. Here are three more areas that are threatened by House Bill 300:

Religious schools and ministries face lawsuits for hiring based on their shared mission. It’s already happened to a Catholic school in Massachusetts due to an HB300-type law. Here in Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia targeted Catholic Charities based on Philadelphia’s HB300-type law.

Women and young girls are forced to share women-only spaces with biological males, including locker rooms, dorms, and overnight accommodations on school trips.

Force creative professionals to communicate messages that go against their beliefs. People like cake artist Jack Phillips are being targeted for lawsuits because of laws like HB300.

Some of your elected leaders understand what’s at stake and oppose the bill. BUT WE NEED YOU TO TAKE ACTION: Contact your State Representative and State Senator TODAY and respectfully ask them to vote NO on Rep. Kenyatta’s House Bill 300. Click here to email.

MARK HOUCK RETURNS TO THE SIDEWALK, PRO-LIFERS JOIN IN SOLIDARITY

After beating bogus charges from the FBI and Biden Administration Department of “Justice”, Mark Houck returned to the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood.

In addition to his son, his whole family joined him. Moreover, two dozen pro-lifers throughout the surrounding area and region joined him for witness and prayer.

It was a sense of calm yet one of awareness of what a peaceful presence can mean in the fight to build a culture of life.

Those gathered even prayed over Mark and his family as he returns to pro-life activism. He also intends to sue the FBI for violating his rights.

A Beautiful Day for a Rally & March

Last Monday, September 19th was a beautiful day.  Not just the weather but being in the presence of so many faithful pro-life warriors.  Reports of between 6,000 and 10,000 people from across the commonwealth were present at the first post-Roe March for Life in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Members of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition, Bucks County Right to Life as well as members of several parishes in Bucks County traveled to Harrisburg to be a part of this historic event.  Below are pictures taken by Kathleen Wilson of the Bucks County Right to Life as well as a report from her.

It was wonderful meeting all of you yesterday. To those who couldn’t make it, know that it was a very successful day. There were 34 of us who traveled to Harrisburg. When we arrived, we listened to the speakers while others met with State Rep Shelby Labs and State Rep. Meghan Schroder. Both Representatives were very happy that we stopped by as we encouraged them to always vote pro-life. We marched around the Capital with a huge crowd filled with young people, listened to Silent No More women who regret their abortion as well as Fr. Pavone and finally ended with a Mass with Archbishop Perez.

Thank you all for your passion for the protection of the unborn. We look forward to laws changing every day in favor of saving babies. Have a great day and thank you for participating in a great day!

A Thank You to Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition from A Baby’s Breath

When COVID hit, our pregnancy help centers and homes in Bucks County experienced a shortage of supplies for the women they were helping and put out a request for items they needed. The Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition through our blog and emails, asked those who attend our monthly First Friday Life Chains to consider bringing items for these centers.  Our people have been very generous and below is a ‘thank-you’ from A Baby’s Breath – Warminster, one of the centers we support for this month’s donations.

Our next First Friday Life Chain will be held on Friday, April 1st from 9:30 – 10:30 am.  Please consider attending and bringing items for our centers and homes.  We will post a list of supplies as we get closer to this event.

Join Us for Our Annual Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling in Warminster, Pa on December 17th

Every year pro-lifers across the nation bring the joy and hope of Christmas to the darkness of abortion facilities with a Christmas Caroling day.

Some gather around a large empty Christmas crèche  symbolizing both the hopeful anticipation of a child’s birth and the emptiness left behind by abortion and sing carols about the Christ child. Babies have been SAVED from abortion when their mothers heard these carols and were moved by the thought of how Mary said “YES” to be the mother of Jesus.

In Warminster, Pennsylvania,  ‘Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling’ will be held on Friday, December 17th beginning at 9:30 am in front of Planned Parenthood.  We hope everyone from Bucks County will come and join us for this annual event.

A Christmas Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed following our Caroling. Please dress warmly and invite your family and friends to join you.

As we’ve done this past year with our First Friday Life Chains, we are asking for donations of diapers (all sizes) and wipes for our pregnancy help centers.

This event is sponsored locally by the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition and  nationally by the Pro-Life Action League.

Day 14 of Prayer and Scripture to #EndAbortion (10/5/21)

Luke 1: 30-33

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, you have made the womb of each woman a very special place. Help us to hold fast to the sanctity of this first home of humanity, remembering the wonderful mystery, that God inhabited the womb of a young woman and came forth as the savior and deliverer of the world. We ask this in the Name of the one who came forth, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
