Mike Pence: Republicans Must “Stand Without Apology” Against Killing Babies in Abortions

Former Vice President Mike Pence

Life News reporter Miciah Bilger wrote the following Life News article:

Former Vice President Mike Pence urged political leaders to “stand without apology” for unborn babies’ right to life in an interview published Thursday at The Hill.

Pence disputed recent claims by former President Donald Trump and others that Republican candidates’ pro-life stance hurt them in the mid-term elections, saying those with strong pro-life values performed better than the candidates who flip-flopped or ignored the issue.

“I think going forward, it’s going to be incumbent on the men and women on our party to stand without apology for the sanctity of human life, to stand on that principle of the unalienable right to life, but also to express compassion for women that are facing crisis pregnancies,” Pence said.

A former Indiana governor and congressman, Pence has a strong pro-life record and frequently speaks about protecting unborn babies from abortion. He lives out his values in his private life as well. He and his family often attend the March for Life, and his daughter Charlotte is a pro-life advocate.

Pence celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year, calling it perhaps the “most consequential legacy” of the Trump administration. Since the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling in June, 14 states have banned abortions and thousands of babies’ lives have been saved. “… to have been part of an administration that gave the American people this new beginning for life is something I’ll cherish the rest of my life,” Pence told NBC host Chuck Todd in November.

RECAP ON THE GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY IN PHILLY

The following is from an email blast sent by Dr. Monique Ruberu

Abortion is the evilest sin of all time. Ending the life of an innocent child, harming the mother and father in the process, ending the lifeline of people that were intended to come from that child – there is no good… the only chance of good comes from repentance, compassion, the love, the courage that we respond with through the grace of God alone.

When we are out there yes we will be persecuted, yes people will say unkind things to us, yes they may try to provoke us into responding with anger. We can choose to respond with pity, with prayer, with love.

In the midst of this persecution, there are beautiful moments… like today at 777 when a young African American young man who was biking food around the city stopped and watched for a long time with tear-filled eyes… after about 30 minutes I approached him… “you’ve been standing here a long time… are you ok? I know it’s a hard place to be…” he responded with tears in his eyes, “this is truly spiritual warfare”  Yes it is… but we know that God wins in the end. He got it…

Recently we have had a few incidents you may have heard about through the news or the grapevine.

STAND WITH MARK

This is the report I received from Pat: Months ago our awesome Mark Houck leader of the King’s Men was praying outside the abortion center with his child. The male escort (identified as Bruce Love) who often harasses many of us decided to pick on Mark and his child. Mark initially moved across the street and then moved back to the corner to pray. When he came back to the corner the escort started harassing Mark’s son again and Mark pushed him away. The escort dramatically fell to the ground feigned injury and called the police. Mark was at no time preventing women from entering 12th – this went on to a court proceeding which was then dropped because it was obvious that there was no intent to prevent people from entering and Bruce never appeared.

This morning swat teams showed up at Mark’s house shackled him at gunpoint and totally traumatized his family… he had a hearing and praise God on the feast of Padre Pio (yesterday) he was released by the hour of mercy.  Mark has been offered representation and many public figures are speaking up on the injustice of this… please pray for him, for his and his family’s safety, and for peace in his family.

Please contribute to the give-send-go organized for Mark and his fam. He is a missionary… there will be lawyers fees to pay in the near future and his family needs to be supported to help them heal…

A few days ago we had an instance where a girl stole the signs and box while two prayer warriors were present- she took everything into the planned parenthood courtyard and then she used a 6-inch military knife and started cutting up the signs. The prayer warriors called 911 and after 20 minutes they hadn’t responded so they made the right choice and left. Unfortunately, the girl continued to follow them and harass them.

Ultimately they split up and they managed to lose her.

These are probably the most aggressive instances we have had downtown… we can decide to stay at home and refuse to stand up for these innocent lives for fear of facing people like this or we can continue to stand firm for what is right. We can show up with love and with friends. We can pray and bring the strongest weapon – the rosary to defeat the devil at those gates. We can continue to offer love, prayer, and compassion to save lives.

Pat also shared this beautiful report with me…

Mom and dad came to pp last Jan and ran into pro-life warriors. They changed their minds and the little boy was born early Thursday morning. The stroller and crib were delivered and newborn diapers are on the way. This child is here because we were there.

40 days for life begins worldwide this Wednesday. Please join us out there to fill in the gaps and ensure we have a loving, peaceful, prayerful presence out there.

We definitely need help next Saturday at 12th and Locust all day from 8-1 pm

We are looking for individuals who can help with security out there as well if you have any leads please let us know.

Allentown City Council Committee Meeting on Four Abortion Ordinances, Includes Harassing Pregnancy Center

Bright Hope Pregnancy Center in Allentown is being harassed by some city council members.  Many believe, including myself, that this is a test run to use against pro life work in other towns and cities across the country.

The following is from Debra Biro, an activist in Allentown who attended the hearings on August 24th.

Yesterday I attended Allentown’s Special City Council Meeting regarding four abortion ordinances.
Following is my observation and an article from the Morning Call and 69 News.
The committee agreed to send the four proposed abortion rights ordinances to the next full council
meeting, currently scheduled for Sept. 7.

The decision was not unanimous among the three members of the ad hoc committee, which consists of Joshua Siegel, the bill’s author; Cynthia Motto, board president; and Darryl L. Hendricks. (Note Darryl voted NO). The ordinances are listed below. It should be noted that Joshua Siegel who submitted the ordinances is running for Democratic candidate for State Representative District 22.
 Bill 60: Buffer zones
 Bill 61: Advertising with limited services
 Bills 62, 63: Abortion-related crimes, out-of-state investigations
Below are some of the stories I heard at the Council meeting.

A woman spoke about being from Mexico. When her husband found out she was pregnant he insisted
that she get an abortion, she went to Planned Parenthood, but she decided not to go through with the
abortion. When the woman began to show, the husband took her to the doctor and asked what is going
on, she had an abortion. The doctor explained that she is having a baby. The husband was very angry
and told his wife he is taking away her phone and locking her in a room until she decides to have an
abortion. She asked if she could make a call to her father to explain, he would not be hearing from her for
a while.

The husband agreed. The woman called the Allentown police and spoke in Spanish (her
husband did not speak Spanish) and explained the situation. The police arrived and rescued the woman.
The police got her in touch with a group that helps pregnant woman in need. Today the woman is out of
the abusive relationship and she and her daughter one year old are doing well.
A woman spoke about having an abortion many years ago and how depressed she became. She was so
severely depressed that breathing was difficult.

A teacher from Easton spoke about a 4 th grade student who was very excited that it was his birthday and asked the teacher if he could set his watch to the exact time he was born. The teacher said of course it is your birthday. The alarm went off around lunchtime and the student exclaimed I was born at this time!

Later that day when the mother came to pick up her son the teacher told the mom the story of her son
setting his watch and that she never saw a student so excited for the time he was born. The mom
explained. I lived in California and became pregnant very young. My parent told me to have an abortion
or get out. I choose to leave. I took a bus across country and ended up in Easton. I was supported by
caring people who helped me. My son knows the story and very much values his life.

Woman spoke about being in abusive relationships / sex slaves and partners and / or family member
insist that they get an abortion as there is no other option. These women spoke that it was great to know
they could have their baby with caring support. Numerous woman spoke that they were finally able to get
out of very bad situations due to support of caring groups.

One woman traveled from Stroudsburg, over an hour drive to share her story and tell the committee to
vote NO on all the ordinances.

Many women spoke out that they were in much appreciation to be greeted by a caring person and be
giving an alternative to abortion.

The were some people who spoke in favor of the ordinances stating that the woman are being harassed
and called names like murderer when coming to Planned Parenthood. Joshua Siegel who submitted the
ordinances, pointed out that the violence includes leaving baby booties and a “Medina” statue. A woman
pointed out that she left the Madonna Statue. Although all the pro-life stories were very moving, Joshua
insisted that abortion does not cause any trauma to the women and stating such this is deceptive
information. Joshua stated this even after a woman spoke about her trauma and difficulty breathing after
her abortion and it was noted that the Mayo Clinic quoted that woman experience trauma after an
abortion.

There was a doctor who pointed out that facilities like Bright Hope are giving women misinformation.
Stating either that the ultrasound showed the woman further along than they were or woman were told to
return to the facility week after week until they are further along in their pregnancy.

Cindy O’Brien has been investigating abortion and is a freelance reporter. Cindy contacted the Allentown
police and asked if there were any reports of violence at Planned Parenthood facilities. The Allentown
Police Chief reported, No not one report of violence at Planned Parenthood. There was not one person
at the meeting spoke about violence or threats toward them. Joshua explained that the woman do not
want to escalate things and get the police involved.

Warminster Planned Parenthood Rally for Life Held on Roe v Wade Anniversary

Warminster Planned Parenthood
Rally for Life
January 21, 202
2

Pro-Life supporters came from Bucks and Montgomery counties to attend the Rally for Life at Warminster Planned Parenthood. The long sidewalk from the front driveway entrance to the rear driveway exit of PP was crowded with pro-lifers of all ages. The number of participants was over 200.

The event began with an opening prayer and pro-life message from Monsignor Joseph Gentilli, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown. Wendy Schettig of Chalfont Calvary Church led the gathering with the hymn Amazing Grace.

Other guest speakers included:

Rev. Bill Devlin, Redeem Ministries
Pastor Chuck Wilson, New Hope Community Church
Laura Gumbrecht, Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition
Denise Wilcox, National Right to Life
Diana Reimer, Susan B. Anthony List
Wendy Schettig, Christian Music Ministry

Referring to the upcoming US Supreme Court decision in June, some speakers shared that 2022 should be the last time we would meet in front of Warminster PP.

Anne Ruegner, director of A Baby’s Breath in Warminster, attended the rally. Her ministry offers free services to women in a crisis pregnancy which include: counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, independence, classes, and housing. Her ministry has helped many moms choose life for their unborn babies.

Rev. Bill Devlin closed the Rally for Life with prayer. He then led us in the worship hymn, Hallelujah, with the last verse sung on our knees.

The Rally for Life was a glorifying God-centered event. It brought brothers and sisters in Christ together to prayerfully persevere in their efforts to restore the sanctity of life in the womb.

Mom Refused Doctors’ Suggestion to Abort Two of Her Quadruplets, Now They’re All Healthy

“When my parents discovered they were expecting four children at once, their doctors tried to pressure them into ‘reducing’ to twins.”

The following story by Maria Gallagher was published in Life News. She is the Legislative Director and Political Action Committee Director for the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation.

Once, while scrolling through my emails, I came upon a fascinating find.

It was a message from a man named Michael.

Michael came to his pro-life convictions naturally. You see, he is a quadruplet.

I will let Michael take up the story from there:

“When my parents discovered they were expecting four children at once, their doctors tried to pressure them into ‘reducing’ to twins.

“To the medical system, the lives of my brothers and me didn’t count—literally—unless our parents chose to carry us to term. And twins were ‘less risky’ for the doctors and the hospitals than quadruplets were.”

But Michael’s parents were convinced that all four of their children deserved a chance at life. Michael says that, despite scare tactics, “including telling my mother that she and all four of us would die if they didn’t choose abortion, my parents’ faith and belief in the equality of unborn life led them to protect us all.”

Michael’s parents dismissed the pro-abortion doctors and searched for new ones who truly respected the gift of life.

The result? All four babies were born safely, without any complications or health issues.

Michael added, “Knowing that I was only born because of my parents’ commitment to valuing all life, and willingness to put their lives on the line for those beliefs, I’ve always considered it my responsibility to defend unborn children. My right to life shouldn’t have depended on parents who would hold to their beliefs in the face of immense pressure from the medical system, and other children shouldn’t lose their lives because their parents lack those beliefs.”

So I would like to salute Michael’s family and all families of multiples who bravely rejected a doctor’s pressure to abort their precious offspring. The world is a better place with you in it!

What Happens When Man Becomes God: The Slippery Slope to Destruction

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20

Growing up in the late 40s, our nation was still considered Judeo-Christian. There was Bible reading and prayer in public schools. The Ten Commandments were publicly displayed. As a result, sin was somewhat restrained by God’s truth and daily prayer in public education.

In 1961, the Supreme Court removed Bible reading from public schools and prayer was ruled unconstitutional the following year. Abortion was legalized in 1973 with the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision. Same sex marriage became lawful in all 50 states in 2015. Godlessness was creeping into our lives through the courts and legislation.

As morals started to decline, what was once considered sin became acceptable. When the consciousness of sin is erased, then society starts to unravel at a rapid pace. Killing an unborn baby becomes a ‘choice’, homosexuality is celebrated, truth becomes relative. Good becomes evil and evil is good. The prophet Isaiah gave a stern warning that pertains to our nation:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20

There are many Biblical accounts of civilizations who have been wiped from the face of the earth for the sins of idol worship, child sacrifice and homosexuality.

The answer to this sinful decline is found in God’s Word:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Biggest Problem Facing America: The Sin and Evil of Abortion

“Life Begins at Conception”

As supporters of the sanctity of life, we seldom hear from young pregnant moms concerning their view on abortion. Below is a powerful message that this generation needs to hear. Tatiana shares all the reasons why abortion is evil and the most important issue facing our nation.

“We are under judgment in America.”

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
Duet 30:19 NIV

What Does the Bible Say About Abortion?

A baby growing inside the womb. The gestational age is about seven months.

We’ve all heard the rhetoric from those who believe in a “woman’s right to choose”. Notice they never finish that statement. No one ever asks them to complete their sentence, a woman’s right to choose what? The only way to end that statement is “the right to choose life or death”. Their reasoning is based on a strictly humanistic view and not what the Word of God says about abortion.

Below is a powerful video produced by a young couple expecting their first baby. Click on the YouTube below as they share what the Bible has to say about abortion.

This young couple is the voice of their generation. Pray that the Lord will raise up many young people to stand up and speak out against abortion and for the sanctity of all human life.

Yet you are He who took me from the womb; You made me trust You at my mother’s breasts. On You was I cast from my birth, and from my mother’s womb You have been my God.
Psalm 22:9-10

Legislative Alert from PA Pro-Life Federation: Urgent Request to Call US Sen. Bob Casey, Jr

Senator Bob Casey, Jr

Dear Pro-Life Leaders,

We are issuing an urgent call to phone U.S. Senator Bob Casey’s office and urge him to vote No on the pro-abortion Women’s Health Protection Act. (The bill number is H.R. 3755/S.1975.)This dangerous bill has been called Roe v. Wade on steroids. It would wipe out pro-life laws such as our Abortion Control Act. That would mean no more parental consent, informed consent, or 24 hour waiting periods for abortion. It would also mean an expansion of taxpayer funding of abortion. We must stop this dangerous bill!We recommend calling both Senator Casey’s Washington office and one of his local offices. It is fine to leave a message. Here are his numbers, as listed on his website at https://www.casey.senate.gov/contact/offices :

Washington: 202-224-6324
Allentown: 610-782-9470
