40 Days Call in Philadelphia

Once again we are asking for pro-life warriors in Southeast Pennsylvania to join the 40 Days for Life Campaign in center city Philly.  Below is a message from Ted Meehan looking for  help from us at the Planned Parenthood on Locust Street.  Please pray and consider committing to join this campaign to witness outside this killing center.  Your prayers and presence do help to save lives.

Center City Philly

Jesus told us that “the Gates of Hell will not prevail against you”. Until a few years ago, I pictured the Gates of Hell coming to attack, and wad comforted that they would not overwhelm me. But in Jesus’ time, the Gates were the protection from invading forces. To understand this is to realize that when Jesus promises that the Gates of Hell will not prevail against us, He is calling us to CONFRONT the Gates of Hell! If we confront Evil, it cannot prevail. Only if we remain in our comfort zone, can the Gates of Hell prevail. So we must get out and confront Evil where it is!

I ask each of you to sign up for at least one hour, on one day during Lent to stand before the Gates of Hell. They cannot prevail against us!

In Philadelphia, at 12th & Locust, or at 8th & Appletree, there is the greatest need for our help. God bless Pat Stanton and Monique Ruberu for sacraficially reaching out to recruit good people – not just for 40 days, but for 320 days! They strive to cover the two most infamous killing centers in Pennsylvania. It would lighten their load – a little bit – if you could witness at one of these two locations. But any witness at any abortion center will be a blessing.

Take a moment now to sign up by going to: https://www.40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/philadelphia/

Ask a fellow pro-life parishioner to join you to pray for 1 hour. You will be blessed, and you may be used by the Holy Spirit to save a life. Your presence is your witness for Life. Those who see you will be changed. They may not realize it, but they will be.

For those of you who head up a parish group, consider gathering others from your parish to take a full day. 8am to 5pm. 9 hours.
